Welcome to Figueroa Jiu-Jitsu – a Jiu-Jitsu gym in Vista for everyone! Our gym is built toward helping students grow on and off the mat through competition Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense martial arts. We are family based, with many past students now bringing in their children to train. Students join our Jiu-Jitsu classes and improve their physical fitness while also improving their mental strength. This comes through an emphasis in anti-bullying, building up each student’s confidence while facing the day-to-day struggles of life. Figueroa is here for Vista and to help build up those around us!

About This School
Our School
We strive for every student to smile and be happy in our Vista Jiu-Jitsu gym. Our focus has been to create a positive environment – allowing everyone to take a break from the stressors of life. We want to help all those nearby, struggling with low income and more. The goal is to help everyone we can to better themselves and improve their lives through Jiu-Jitsu. This starts with our homely culture and world-class training – which is the best of the best. Jiu-Jitsu lessons begin with teaching students moves and techniques. Once they get used to their Jiu-Jitsu training, we encourage them to take the skills they’ve learned and make their own style. Just like in our culture, find your comfort zone and make it the best it can be at Figueroa Jiu-Jitsu!
History
Gym owner Martin Figueroa established his first Jiu-Jitsu gym in 2008, when he received his Jiu-Jitsu black belt under the legend Carlos Valente. Jiu-Jitsu had done so much for him, and he wanted to give back to the community and those in need. Now, with inspiration from his son, a fellow World Champion (Martin has also won is also a Pan Ams champion), Martin has opened back up to provide a fun, positive energy to Jiu-Jitsu. Martin has trained with legends in Jiu-Jitsu, and is hoping to help build new ones on and off the mat at Figueroa Jiu-Jitsu!

Jiu-Jitsu Programs
Our Jiu-Jitsu program is designed for everyone. We have Jiu-Jitsu classes for adults as well as kids. All our students can come in and improve their self-defense martial arts skills while improving physically and mentally.
Adults Jiu-Jitsu (13+)
We offer Jiu-Jitsu classes for adults. Students can come in and work on their competition Jiu-Jitsu skills as well as self-defense martial arts. You can come in and improve physically and mentally as you learn new skills.
Kids Jiu-Jitsu (4-12)
Our kids Jiu-Jitsu classes help children grow. As they learn self-defense martial arts and Jiu-Jitsu skills, they also improve their mental strength and physical fitness. Sign your kids up for an experience that can help them on and off the mats!
